Based in Beverly Hills, California, he has developed a diverse professional background spanning accounting, private equity, executive management, and entrepreneurship.

Originally from Nowata, Oklahoma, Derik’s early experiences instilled the values of hard work, resilience, and personal responsibility that continue to guide his professional approach today. His educational journey eventually brought him to California, where he expanded his knowledge of finance and business while developing the leadership skills that would define his career.

Derik began his professional career with Ernst & Young, where he gained valuable experience in accounting, auditing, financial reporting, and corporate operations. Working with complex organizations provided a strong technical foundation while strengthening his ability to solve business challenges through thoughtful financial analysis and strategic planning.

Following Ernst & Young, Derik expanded into private equity and executive leadership, serving as a Principal and Chief Financial Officer. Throughout his career, he has worked closely with business owners, investors, and leadership teams to improve financial performance, support sustainable growth, and develop long-term strategies for organizational success.

Outside of his professional work, Derik enjoys photography, which allows him to combine technical precision with artistic creativity. He is also dedicated to his role as a father and believes that personal relationships are every bit as important as professional accomplishments.
